The Nutrition Graduate Student Association (NGSA) is holding our annual Spring apparel fundraiser. This semester, we have added new items including a canvas tote bag and baseball tee! There are a lot of fun options for both men and women.

Drop-off your order form (above) and payment to the NGSA fundraiser drop box located in the front office of Chandlee (room 110). Orders are due Wednesday March 15, 2017 at 5pm and pick-up will be available at the end of the semester. Shipping is also available.

2017 NDAS Alumni Brunch – Saturday, February 25, 2017

The annual Nutrition and Dietetics Alumni Society Brunch will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Ballroom A/B of The Nittany Lion Inn. This is a great opportunity to network with other nutritional sciences alumni, become acquainted with nutritional sciences students and faculty members, and enjoy the University Park campus.

A block of hotel rooms for alumni and guests has been reserved at the Nittany Lion Inn for $134 a night. To reserve a room, please visit www.pshs.psu.edu or call 800-233-7505 and mention reservation # HHDB17A. The room block will end on Janauary 25, 2017, so make sure to reserve your room prior to that date.

The program will include:

11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Brunch and networking
12:30 p.m.–1:00 p.m.: A department update and awards presentation
1:00 p.m.–1:30p.m.: A special presentation by Dr. Laura Murray-Kolb, associate professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State.

PINK ZONE 2017 - Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017

The following day, Sunday, February 26, is the Penn State Lady Lion Pink Zone game against Michigan (tip-off time TBA).

90 minutes prior to the game, the Colleges of HHD and Nursing host a reception in Room E/F of the BJC. All are welcome to attend! For more information and/or to order tickets to sit with us in our HHD section, please visit our Pink Zone page.

The 2016 Nutrition Alumni Brunch was a Success!

Thank you to everyone who traveled to University Park to attend the Nutrition Alumni Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Nittany Lion Inn. Our annual brunch featured a speed networking event for students, award presentations, a department update from Dr. Michael Green, interim head of the nutritional sciences department, and a keynote lecture from David Frankenfield, M.S., R.D., Chief Clinical Dietician, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Please read below for more information on the events.

Speed Networking Event

The speed networking event provided career advice for students.

The alumni participants provided students with a brief summary of their careers in nutrition and then spent a majority of the time answering questions from students on career choices and how to prepare for a successful career.

Speed Networking Event for Nutrition Students and Alumni

Prior to the Alumni Brunch on February 28, the Nutrition and Dietetics Alumni Society will host a speed networking event for current Nutrition students.

All Nutrition students are invited to attend this unique (and free) networking opportunity where they will be given the opportunity to speak to successful and experienced Nutrition alumni in a speed networking format.
